Leaders of LifePoint Community Church...
When we implemented LifePoint in March 2013, the overwhelming task of getting the right people in place was before us. Some of these leaders have been with us from the beginning and others have joined recently. We work together as a team; discussing, implementing and working hard to make LifePoint what it is today.
We humans make elaborate plans, but God has the last word. Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what is good. Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place... Proverb 16:1-3

Charissa Yavtucovich - Lead & Executive Pastor
My job of Lead & Executive Pastor is to oversee and manage the church in all aspects from strategic planning to the operations for each ministry and everything in between. Leading and working with teams and volunteers makes my job so enjoyable.
I have my Masters of Divinity and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. I work for a counseling clinic serving children, teens, adults, families and couples who need hope and healing in their lives. I am also a certified communication and mental fitness coach and provide leadership training for corporations and professionals. My plate is full but I enjoy every moment of what I have been called to do.
I love coming to church each week and seeing everyone build relationships and lives changed and strengthened because of what we do at LifePoint. My passion is the church. Spending time with people, brainstorming ideas or just having coffee with a friend is what I do best! It's a pleasure to serve at LifePoint Community Church.
Ronald Charles - TeachingTeam
Ronald Charles (Brother Ron) teaches in the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto (St. George) as an Associate Professor. He is also a preacher, a violinist, and the proud dad of two sons, Olivier (23), and Sebastien (22).
Brother Ron joined our team in 2023 and preaches twice a month. We love his servant heart and ready smile no matter what is happening around him. We appreciate Ron's gracious presence and bringing the word of God to us in a down-to-earth, relevant, and caring way.
Make sure you join us when Brother Ron is preaching! You don't want to miss him :)
Melissa Diaferia - LifeKids Coordinator
Melissa has evolved with LifePoint for the past 10 years, working as a Sunday School teacher, event volunteer, & social media manager. Although she’s a medical aesthetician and makeup artist by trade, her passion for open conversation and interest in learning shows in our LifePoint family.
Melissa is a huge asset to LifePoint Community Church, and serves as our LifeKids Coordinator. Each week Melissa brings joy to kids as she show Jesus' love through teaching, playing games, and doing crafts.
LifePoint Community Church would not exist without Melissa!
